A group of Cleveland-area Asian organizations, along with allies such as the NAACP and the Young Latino network, are inviting the community to come to a #StopAsianHate rally and march in AsiaTown to show support for the local Asian community in light of the recent murders in Atlanta.
Representatives from those organizations — more than a dozen so far, with more signing on each day — will be speaking out about the growth in anti-Asian attacks in the country in recent years, which, sadly, has also been accompanied by an increase in anti-Semitic attacks, attacks on Hispanics and various “others,” and the usual outsized amount of attacks on women — with misogyny very likely the prime motivation for the Atlanta murders.
Masks and social distancing will be in effect. It’s free to attend. Get more info and updates here.
