Tue 7/4 @ 8-11PM
One of the best places to watch the July 4 fireworks with your family and enjoy some additional activities is the Great Lakes Science Center where its annual Rock ‘N’ Boom will be happening.
Come down early: GLSC will be open during the day for the final day of its three-day, hands-on Star Spangled Science activities. Guests will learn about the science behind fireworks so they can do more than just ooh and aah, make red white & blue glitter slime and, at 3:15, go outside and watch a watermelon being blown up.
Rock ‘N’ Boom moves out back to the Steamship Mather at 8pm where you can watch fireworks from the decks while enjoying food and drinks purchased at the adjacent family-friendly beer garden. Tickets are $16; admission to the GLSC during the day is separate.
