Fri 10/6 @ 7PM
Story Club Cleveland continues its march into a new era with its Octobr program entitled Boo! The theme for its storytellers is “what scares us, be it ghosts, monsters, or the upcoming presidential election. Gather your fears and bring em’ to the show!”
The evenings continue at the new venue, the Brownhoist in AsiaTown, and they’re now on the first Friday of the month. And tickets also include light munchies with drinks available for purchase.
The program still includes a couple of “celebrity” storytellers as well as three chosen from people who show up and submit to tell stories. If more than three people sign up names are drawn from a hat; open mic sign up starts at 7. Each open mic storyteller has eight minutes or 1300 words to share their scary tale. This month’s scheduled storytellers are artist Michael Pomerantz and Heights poet laureate Siaara Freeman.
Story Club is donating all of its profits in 2023 to Equality Ohio.
