Cain Park Arts Fest Returns After Pandemic Hiatus — And It’s Free

Fri 7/9 @ 3-8PM

Sat 7/10 @ 10AM-8PM

Sun 7/11 @noon-5PM

While a lot of arts festivals are punting for another year or moving to an alternative model (like Art by the Falls in Chagrin Falls), the Cain Park Arts Fest is going full steam ahead in its usual time slot, the second weekend in July.

The juried show, which was all virtual last year, features more than 75 artists, both local and out-of-state, in all media: painting, drawing, prints photography, sculpture, textiles, glass, wood, ceramics, mixed media and more. Oh yeah, of course —  jewelry. Can’t have an arts fair without jewelry.

As usual, the festival also features entertainment. Folk artists Charlie Mosbrook and Kate Kooser will be onstage Friday @ 3:30-7:30pm, with the De La Brass Band on Saturday from 12:30-2:30pm; singer/songwriter/guitarist Diana Chittester and her band @ 3-5pm; and blues/swing/jump band Blue Lunch from 5:30-7:30pm. Sunday’s entertainment is legendary NE Ohio folksinger Alex Bevan performing with a band @ 1-4pm.

One change this year: the festival will be free all three days.
