Last winter, Heights Arts featured a group show in its gallery called Posing the Question. In it artists confronted the past year’s headlines, responding to issues facing our country around racial justice and equity and look at how we as a nation have been addressing them (or not). The artists featured, who contribute photography, painting and drawing, included Kenneth Bernstein, Kenn Hetzel, Matthew Deibel, MonaGazala, Scott Kraynak, Liz Maugans and Omid Tavakoli.
Now Valley Art Center is remounting the show under the title Points of View, which also includes the work for Chagrin Falls pottery artist Tracy Ameen, whose work features similar themes and has been displayed at the Smithsonian/Cooper Hewitt Museum, the White House and the Museum of Modern Design in New York.
The show will open with a free public public reception Friday September 17 @ 6-8pm.
