It’s hard to believe that Brite Winter Fest, that February festival that features bands playing on outdoor stages (brrrr!) along with indoor venues, is now eight years old. It was a small, intimate party in the Flats its first two years, then moved to Ohio City for four years where it grew explosively.
Last year, it moved back down to the Flats, with a much expanded footprint. It also moved to a lineup much more focused on local talent, with only a few out-of-town bands among the nearly 50 that played.
It will again take place on the East Bank of the Flats in February 2017. That may seem pretty far away but the festival has just opened up for submission for the coming year. It’s looking for all genres of music. Go here to submit:
