Cleveland Orchestra Principal Cello Mark Kosower sure gets around. You can often find him playing outside the confines of Severance Music Center. Just a couple of weeks ago he was part of the Cleveland Cello Society iCellisti benefit, which funds scholarships for the next generation of classical cellists.
And this week he’ll be headlining a recital for Arts Renaissance Tremont, taking place at St. Wendelin Church. He’ll share the stage with the venerable Cleveland-based Cavani String Quartet, founded in 1984, and guest violist Samuel Rosenthal, a young violist who has studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music as well as Juilliard, and who says in his bio that the Cavani Quartet “ignited his passion for chamber music.”
Best of all, the program is free and open to all although you are welcome to make a donation, and they will be grateful if you do.
