In the eight years since its founding, one of the favorite annual concerts by professional vocal ensemble Quire Cleveland is its holiday program.

As is typical for a program by the group, Carols for Quire VIII features songs from across the centuries and many cultures. You’ll hear some favorites from previous years, along with newly added selections, among them a group of Spanish Christmas songs and a setting of the Christmas hymn “Conditor alme siderum” in the Mohawk Indian language, put together by the group’s artistic director Ross Duffin.

They’ll perform at Trinity Cathedral on Friday, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Akron on Saturday and Historic St. Peter’s Church in downtown Cleveland on Sunday. The Akron show is free; the others are $30. Those under 18 are always free.
