For a decade, the organization Drink Local Drink Tap, has sponsored its Wavemaker program to teach kids how to conserve water and reduce waste, as well as become aware of water access issues in other parts of the word. It’s reached 15,000 northeast Ohio students.
In the last year, Drink Local Drink Tap has been creating a STEM-based curriculum that expands on these themes in three units: Water Footprint, Clean Water for All, and Climate Change and Water.
It’s offering the curriculum free this year due to the impact of the pandemic on schools, and will add new resources throughout the school year. To find out how to access at water-related lesson or speaker for your kids or classroom, go here to learn more or contact Kristine@drinklocaldrinktap.org.
