The Morgan Conservatory’s proper named is the Morgan Art of Papermaking Conservatory, although their activities encompass a full range of artmaking involving paper. But this weekend they’ll be leaning into the papermaking aspect in a big way with its Papermaking Marathon.
It starts on Friday evening July 12 with its kickoff party and continues for 24 hours, as 24 papermakers create sheets of paper in its newly renovated papermaking studios to raise $24,000.
Come down from 5-11pm to enjoy food, drinks, music with DJ Loc Babe and watch the papermaking get underway. After a pause at 11pm, they papermaking will continue through 5pm Saturday when awards and trophies are handed out.
It’s free to dome down and cheer on the artists. Of course, they’re soliciting donations. Go here to help out.
