Akron-based traditional country-influenced Americana band The Shootouts are getting prepared to drop their sophomore album Bullseye in early April, produced by BR549’s Chuck Mead. On it, they’ll blend country styles such as the Nashville honky-tonk, Texas swing and the Buck Owens-style Bakersfield sound.
One of the tunes on the album, “Another Mother,” is a tribute to one of the wellsprings of Humbert’s love of country music — his mother, who passed away in 2018. That song will be the subject of their next video, and Humbert is putting out a call for contributions from fans.
“The song Another Mother pays tribute to moms everywhere, and we’d love to have you as a part of it,” he says. “And all you have to do is submit a few photos!”
They’re looking for photos, either color or black and white, of fans and friend with their mothers, some of which will be featured in the video to “honor the special and irreplaceable bond between mothers and their children.” You can submit up to three photos here, where you can also find more details about what they’re looking for. Deadline for submissions is April 2.
