Jazz keyboard player Rock Wehrmann is well known from his multiple performances around the area in many contexts. A Kent State grad, he’s performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Cleveland Pops Orchestra and the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, and appeared on recordings by noted artists such as Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock and Pat Metheny.
As leader of the Rock Wehrmann Trio, also featuring local jazz bassist Aidan Plank and vocalist Barbara Rosene (noted for her renditions of classic 20s-50s pop tunes), he’ll be performing at Christ Episcopal Church in Hudson (which also happens to be his home) as part of its Music from the Western Reserve series. There’ll be a meet-the-artists reception after the concert. Tickets are $20; students are free.
