You can’t be sure exactly what you’ll hear when Classical Revolution Cleveland plays one of its recurring gigs at the Happy Dog in Gordon Square, although it probably won’t resemble the indie rock that’s the regular fare there.
The evolving ensemble was started by freelance classical violinist Ariel Clayton Karas in 2009 to bring classical music to non-traditional venues and new audiences, and give the area’s professional-level classical musicians an opportunity to try some things outside a traditional concert hall. From performance to performance, the lineup and configurations are different and sometime they push the boundaries of classical music.
It’s free and open to all.
