Neighborhood Connections’ Arts & Culture Network Nights are intended to connect member of the area’s arts community: artists, arts supporters and people who work at arts-related organizations in any capacity. They take place at various locations around the city so attendees have a chance to become acquainted with different artists/arts groups, while hanging out with people who share their interests.
This month’s event takes place at the LGBT Center in Gordon Square, where there’ll be the opportunity for conversation, finding potential partners for projects, enjoying some food and drink from a local establishment, and enjoying a performance. This month’s guest performer will be flamenco dancer Alice Blumenthal (pictured), founder of Abrepaso, a dance company which also offers flamenco classes and sponsors events such as the flamenco flash mob taking place at Edgewater Park this Sunday August 28.
It’s free. Register here.
