It’s time for another of those “Silent Disco” dance parties where each person is dancing in their one little world, oblivious to other dancers around them. If you don’t know, at a silent disco, each guest is issued a headset on which he or she tunes into one of the two or more DJs simultaneously playing music for dancing. The person next to you might be listening to something entirely different.
MOCA Cleveland will be hosting Silent Disco: Star Wars Edition (May the 4th Be With You). “Be prepared to choose sides as MOCA transforms into a battleground for dueling DJs playing beats inspired by Princess Leia’s Rebel Alliance and Darth Vader’s Galactic Empire,” they warn us. And there will be a costume contest so come dressed thematically and spectacularly if you want to enter.
Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
