Cleveland Public Library Is Going Green

The Cleveland Public Library is looking to the future of energy: clean, green and renewable. In June, it installed solar panels on the roof of the Rice Branch located at 11535 Shaker Boulevard near Shaker Square. The solar panels will generate 1/3 of the power to run the branch library. The solar panel installation is part of a pilot project that will help Cleveland Public Library save energy and thousands of dollars in taxpayer money.
