Retrospective Show Looks at Work by Painter Randall Tiedman Ten Years After His Death

Fri 12/2 @ 5-8PM

Through Sat 12/31

When Cleveland artist Randall Tiedman died in 2012 at the age of 63, he was just beginning to get the acclaim his late-career paintings merited. The diligently self-taught artist cycled through a variety of styles before hitting on his riveting imagined industrial cityscapes with their post-apocalyptic aura and eye-catching detail. His work hasn’t disappeared; you’ll often find one of his paintings on the corridor wall at 78th Street Studios.

Now you can see a critical mass of his work at 78th Street Studios’ Suite 215 Gallery in the retrospetive, Randall Tiedman: Ten Years Gone, co-presented by HEDGE Gallery and Kokoon Art Gallery, both located at 78th Street Studios. The show will feature his acclaimed later works, along with his earlier figurative and abstract work, including some previously unseen work.

The show will open with a reception Friday December 2 @ 5-8pm and be on view through Saturday December 31.
