Northeast Ohio Novelist/Short Story Writers Hold Conversation at B-Side

Mon 4/10 @ 7PM

Author Allegra Hyde’s book Eleutheria, which The New Yorker called the Best Book of 2022, deals with hope and betrayal, climate change and dreams of utopia. The 35-year-old writer also published an acclaimed collection of short stories called Of This New World in 2016, and last month, her second collection, The Last Catastrophe, came out. And she’s written essays, short stories and humor pieces for numerous magazines. She currently teaches at Oberlin College.

This week, Mac’s Backs on Coventry will be presenting a conversation with the author, taking place at the B-Side Lounge just up the street from the store (so they won’t have to carry the books for sale that far!) She’ll be in conversation with another northeast Ohio writer, Dan Chaon, author of books such as Sleepwalk, Await Your Reply and Among the Missing.

The event is free and open to all.
