Tropidelic came out of Kent, Ohio in 2007, purveying the Sublime-ish hybrid of hip-hop, reggae and funk that gets parties started on college campuses and anywhere ex-frat boys gather.

They’ve been gathering momentum ever since, moving to Cleveland, hitting the road and participating in a variety of festivals and special events with bands of a similar vibe.

They released All Heads Unite, their first full-length album, in 2012 following a trio of EPs. The prolific band kept the pump primed with EP Police State and full-length Go Down with the Ship in April 2015. And now the prolific band is giving its fans even more music as it celebrates the release of a brand-new album (already!) The Hard North.

Tropidelic have just returned from their Smashing Cities tour that started in mid September and took the band all over the midwest, down to Florida and up the east coast. Its homecoming/CD release show takes place at the House of Blues where Shrub and Vibe & direct open. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
