CMNH Program Looks at the Importance & Conservation of Water

Sat 7/16 @ 10:3AM

The Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s Climate Action series joins with local nonprofit Drink Local. Drink Tap. for a program called “Water We Waiting For,” taking place at its own Mentor Marsh Nature Center.

Ben Jurek, education program manager at Drink Local. Drink Tap. will talk about the organization’s programs, both locally and abroad, to make people aware of the importance of clean drinking and bring clean water to people without access. They’ll talk about the challenges of water conservation and protection in the face of climate change.

The event includes a discussion of how rain barrels help us conserve and reuse water. The group will join in decorating four rain barrels, which will be donated to local organizations. Dress to get messy; this event takes place rain or shine, and painting is messy!

It’s $12 for adults, $8 for youth, and suitable for all ages. Register here.
