As a part of the annual summer series, Appalachian based musician, Lisa Bella Donna, will captivate with her modular synthesizer talents for this FREE concert in the Bud & Susie Rogers Garden.
Musician/composer Lisa Bella Donna, who creates her sonic artworks using synthesizers such as ARP 2600, ARP String Ensemble, Moog One, and Moog Modular System, is well known in the electronic music field, having released her first album in 1994 and more than four dozen since then, with her productivity rate increasing dramatically in recent years. She’s based in, of all places, Appalachian West Virginia, where she has her studio.
This week she’ll be performing at the Akron Art Museum’s Bud and Susie Rogers Garden as part of its four-decade Downtown @ Dusk series, an example of how it brings in artists new to the series who do different types of music, mixing them in with long-time favorites such as the Numbers Band who played last week.
