Tremont Farmers Market Offers Local Foods & Outdoor Yoga

Tue 7/7 @ 4-7PM

On a nice summer Tuesday afternoon/evening, there’s nothing better to do to spark your week by heading to Tremont’s leafy, languid Lincoln Park for the weekly Tremont Farmers Market, conveniently located near downtown.

It features more than two dozen local vendors of produce and value-added products, such as the inner-city Community Greenhouse Partners, Bittner Bees honey products, Black River Farm stand with herbs, sprouts and flowers, C & K Farm, Breadhead Bakery, Babs Bakery, Lamar’s Pies, No Wheat, No Worries gluten-free baked goods, Café Social coffee and tea, Weaver’s Truck Patch Amish farmers, and River Ranch exotic meats.

Early on the market said it was temporarily doing away with non-edible vendors and activities, but that’s now changed. There are vendors offering soaps, skin care products, house plants and masks (in case you forgot yours — mask wearing is highly encouraged here). And outdoor social distancing yoga with Studio 11 takes place at 5:30. Bring your mat!

The market runs from 4-7pm, with a 3:30-4pm slot for older people and those with underlying health conditions.
