Cleveland Pops Orchestra Salutes Jerome Robbins & Leonard Bernstein at Severance Hall

Fri 3/2 @ 8PM

The Cleveland Pops Orchestra’s next concert pays tribute to two of the greats of musical theater: composer Leonard Bernstein & choreographer/director/producer Jerome Robbins who worked together on one of the most beloved musicals of all time, West Side Story. They also worked together on the joyful celebration of New York in the ’40s, On the Town (“New York New York/it’s a hell of a town/The Bronx is up and the Battery’s down…”) Both Bernstein, who died in 1990, and Robbins, who died in 1998, were born 100 years ago.

The evening at Severance Hall will feature music from those shows, as well as other productions Robbins was associated with including Gypsy, Funny Girl and Fiddler on the Roof.

Tickets are $31-$100.
