NEOMFA is a program that awards a master’s of fine arts in creative writing, drawing on the combined resources of four northeast Ohio universities. Candidates can choose to make their focus fiction, nonfiction, poetry or playwriting.

For those who choose playwriting, the annual NEOMFA Festival of Plays provides an outlet to see their work realized onstage. Now for the 11th year, convergence-continuum theater in Tremont joins with NEOMFA to present the festival, which runs for two weekends with different plays each weekend.

The first weekend will include the one-act play Nothing’s Magic by Gabrielle DiDonato, and two ten-minute plays, The Confession by Eric Mansfield and The Ocean Breathes Salty by David Hansen.

The second weekend offers the one-acter Are We There Yet? by Laura Barbieri, and the full-length play Six-Bullets Faithby Justin Lazor. Actors and directors from the c-c family will be responsible for executing the works, performed at the Liminis, c-c’s home.

Tickets are $15; $10 for students.  Go here to get them.
