Local acoustic music nonprofit Folknet starts the year with a concert featuring headlining performer who will be familiar to northeast Ohio music fans.
Guitarist/singer/songwriter Bob Frank performed with area bluegrass ensemble the Hotfoot Quartet starting back in the 1970s, then spent 30 years with swing/jump blues/early rock ensemble Blue Lunch. In late 2018 he released a solo acoustic blues CD called True Stories and Outrageous Lies on Rip Cat Records. And in late 2019, he decided that at long last it was time to focus on his own music and he left Blue Lunch. Now it’s time for local music fans to hear what he can do backed by his acoustic guitar and without a driving horn section behind him.
He’ll be joined at Lyndhurst’s Church of the Good Shepherd by up-and-coming artist Zoe Coyle. There’ll also be an open mic following the concert featuring Folknet members and anyone else who wants to come and sign up. Admission is free.
