Country Rockers New Soft Shoe Help Beachland Co-Owner Mark Leddy Celebrate His Birthday

Wed 1/24 @ 8PM

Some of the area’s most respected musicians comprise New Soft Shoe, a band that pays homage to a legendary musician considered a fountainhead of country rock, the ill-fated late Gram Persons. They put their own spin on classic tunes by bands such as the Flying Burrito Brothers, the Byrds and the International Submarine Band: the rule is that if Parsons played it even once, they can make it part of their repertoire. Members include Cleveland’s busiest musicians, all veterans of many other bands and projects First there’s the ubiquitous guitarist/vocalist Brent Kirby; then there’s guitarist Andy Leach, who is also the Rock Hall’s senior director of museum and archival collections.  Pedal steel player Al Moss, bassist Tom Prebish and drummer Jon Neifeld are all familiar names to denizens of the area rock scene.

Tonight they’ll be at the Beachland Tavern where they’ll be helping Beachland co-founder/co-owner Mark Leddy celebrate his ??? birthday.
