Holiday music is everywhere, including piped into stores and on those “all Christmas” radio stations. It’s not hard to find a Christmas-themed concert to go to. But if you’re tired of the sentimentality and treacle, check out Akron’s Missile Toe, a band that only emerges once a year around this time, which they’ve been doing for longer than we can remember.
They’ll be putting in an appearance at the Akron Art Museum lobby where they’ll play their rockin’ and rollin’ send-ups of holiday classics. The museum store will be open for grabbing some nifty, artsy last-minute gifts, and a 15% discount on many items, and you can enjoy drinks and snacks at the museum café.
It’s free and open to all.
