Valley Art Center’s two-day Art by the Falls, which takes place in downtown Chagrin Falls’ Riverside Park, skipped 2020. In 2021, it gave the artists who had been accepted for 2020 before the pandemic hit a showcase in one of two summer gallery shows. Not quite the same!
This year the 38th Annual Art by the Falls returns to its outdoor location, with a full complement of more than 120 artists and artisans, art demonstrations, and more. Almost half the art vendors will be first-timers so there’ll be a lot of new stuff to check out in an array of media including painting, photography, prints, ceramics, textiles, glass and wood pieces, sculpture and of course, jewelry.
There’ll also be food vendors, music, family-friendly activities, an art raffle and an interactive mural created by Chagrin Falls-based professional artist/Cleveland Institute of Art adjunct professor Pam Spremulli, where community members will be painting in sections of the outlined mural throughout the weekend.
For a complete list of artists and more information about the festival, go to valleyartcenter. There’s no admission fee.
