The Vinyl Show at the Winchester Holds Its Final Event

Sat 11/13 @11AM-2PM

The organizers of The Vinyl Show, taking place at the Winchester on Saturday November 13, tell us that the title of this show is “The FINAL Show,” because they feel it’s grown beyond their original intent.

“What started off as an idea where local vinyl collectors could buy, sell and swap records over a couple pints at a local club turned into more or less a giant record show,” they explain.  “The exact reason we started doing these things was to become the anti-record show. We were trying to break free of that transactional mentality of what a record show was and we did for a while.”

They’re saying that they will look at other potential projects in the future, perhaps small-scale pop-ups but they’re concerned about undercutting small local record stores. They’re looking at collaborations with other area music clubs and record purveyors. In the meantime, stop by the Winchester to hang out with other vinyl aficionados.
