Cleveland Public Library Can Help You Explore Your Family Tree

The holiday season often makes people thing about family and what it means. For some, rejected by their birth families, it means embracing their family of choice. For others, it may mean deepening their connections to their families by exploring their ancestry, an increasingly popular hobby.

Many people now about the copious resources available at the Western Reserve Historical Society for tracing your family tree. But did you know that the Cleveland Public Library also has a plethora of such resources, including death notices and certificates, military records, and other such documents going back more than a century?  They can help you explore your family’s history and perhaps connect with relatives you didn’t even know you had.

In addition, CPL offers Genealogy Clinics throughout the year, and their staff and experts can help you figure out how to delve into the records to advance your personal research.
