Fri 2/11-Sun 2/27
C.S. Lewis’ fantasy novel, The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe, has remained a perennial favorite for kids since its 1950 publication, the first to appear of his seven-volume series The Chronicles of Narnia. It involves four siblings who enter an alternative world called Narnia through the door of an old wardrobe, where they encounter all kinds of magical creatures.
The story was dramatized by playwright Joseph Robinette in the 1980s, and it’s become a perennial stage favorite with children who loved the books. Now the Fine Arts association in Willoughby is staging the production, directed by David Malinowski.
It runs through Sunday February 27 (that performance will be sign-interpreted), with performances on Friday February 11, 18 and 25 @ 7:30 and February 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27 @ 2pm. Tickets are $17 for adults, $15 for students and seniots and $10 for kids 10 and under.
