Harmony

Harmony

Is it just me, or is this just the best time of the year around here? Unlike other regions where the weather never changes, we’re always in harmony with nature. And some of us are singing out loud. This week, Aretha comes to town as the latest American Music Master, Richie Furay stops by, and Anne E. DeChant returns from Nashville. See our features and video. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. was in town last week and we’ve got an exclusive video interview. The brand-new William Rupnik Gallery shows the world’s leading street art, and we’ve got an exclusive interview. But there’s more: a sustainability summit at B-W, a drum-off in Mentor, the Cats at Brothers, the local premiere of “The Whale,” a vegan Thanksgiving dinner, the Screw Factory open house, the Launch Lorain charrette. And you can get it all on your iPhone, iPad or Android smartphone for free. And all in perfect harmony. –Thomas Mulready

Akron Leads in Polymers

If there’s one word that describes Akron these days, it’s not rubber… it’s plastics! The polymer field has been blowing up in the Cleveland Plus region for decades because of our high concentration of universities and corporations such as PolyOne, Goodyear, Goodrich and dozens of highly specialized startups.

With the Goodyear Polymer Center at the University of Akron as a backdrop, listen to Dan Loepp, the Editor of Plastics News, based right here in Cle+, as he talks about why our region has such a competitive advantage in this important industry, and how Akron has transformed itself into a global leader.
