Fri 3/1 @ 8PM
It’s the beginning of March which means that all things Irish will start to crop up everywhere. And one of those places is Severance Hall where the Cleveland Pops Orchestra will be hosting “Shamrocks and Champagne: A Toast to Ireland.”
Not only will the program feature the predictable array of popular Irish tunes such as “When Irish Eyes Are Smiling,” Danny Boy” and “McNamara’s Band,” but they’ll be joined by dancers from the Murphy’s Irish Arts Center dance studio, as well as singer Connor Bogart O’Brien who’s sung opera, pop and theater music. Expect entertaining conductor Carl Topilow to be wearing an emerald green tie! Presumably the champagne will be in the lobby.
