Glam

It’s an audacious thesis. Glam didn’t begin and end in the early 1970s: it stretches back to the turn of the last century and continues to today. Come to our Glam Brunch this Sun 6/5 at noon at the BOP STOP and argue with me if you want. We’ve dug up a trove of rare video, choice needle drops, familiar sing-alongs, a trivia contest and a giveaway or two. Enjoy brunch and take a walk on the wild side.

Stroll one of our finest neighborhoods when Little Italy hosts their Summer Art Walk all weekend long. Ingenuity’s benefit Bal Ingenieux is always one of the city’s most glamorous and fun parties. The brand new Playwright Local 4181 is mounting their first full production at Dobama. This is the week to represent Cleveland in style, and our fashion maven Dru Thompson points the way.

Summer farmers markets are opening, and we’ve got the links. The upcoming Agumboot Music Festival is hosting a backer party & you’re invited. Uno Lady hosts songwriters on Luxe’s patio. Or climb up to the Music Box’s rooftop for a wine party. And if none of that fits your style, there’s Taste of Lakewood, Race for the Place, W.A.G.S. 4 Kids, Kudos at Brick Gallery, Power of the Tower at Tower Press, or ColossalCon in Sandusky. Now glam it up. —Thomas Mulready
