Cleveland Pop-Punk Band Heart Attack Man Tours U.S. & England on the Heels of Third Album

Over the years, Cleveland’s had bands with relatively low profiles in the area outside of their dedicated fan base — yet they’re on the road, building a base that’s wide rather than concentrated.

One such band is local punk rockers Heart Attack Man, who released a new album called Freak of Nature just last month. And just a few days two long-since sold-out shows at Mahall’s in Lakewood in early July (which caps a headlining U.S. tour that returned them to northeast Ohio after dates in Seattle, Salt Lake City, Denver, Kansas City, St. Louis, Chicago and Indianapolis), the band packs up and heads to England for a week’s worth of dates.

The band describes Freak Of Nature as “rife with intricate riffs, gleefully catchy choruses, robust rhythms, and a whole lot of outcast charm,” and add that it “turns all the awkwardness of growing up into undeniable and unpredictable anthems, teetering on an axis of punk, rock, and pop.” In other words, familiar but appealing pop punk. And if that’s your thing you can watch their YouTube videos here, here and here.

It’s the third full-length studio album for the trio, which has actually been kicking around in relative anonymity in this area for a decade. Learn more about them here.
