Cleveland nonprofit Folknet, devoted to promoting the acoustic music scene, continues its series of fall concerts with Chicago’s Heather Styka.
Part of a new generation of acoustic folk performers, the 28-year-old singer/composer/guitarist has been performing for more than a decade, has four albums under her belt and tours extensively. Her latest album, 2016’s The Bittersweet Tapes, was recorded on a four-track with bare-bones production that puts the emphasis on the songs and her lovely vocals.
The concert takes place at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Lyndhurst. Tickets are $15, or $12 for Folknet members.
