Several area independent bookstores have already open for cautious browsing. Tremont’s Visible Voice books isn’t among them quite yet, although its downstairs neighbor Crust Pizza is.
However, if you’re part of a family or small circle of friends whose favorite entertainment is browsing books, Visible Voice can accommodate you with a private night at the store. A $50 deposit with your reservation gives you and your group 90 minutes to browse and shop, a large two-topping pizza from Crust and a bottle of wine or an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages.
Slots are available Wednesday-Saturdays after 4pm starting Wednesday August 12. The store will be sanitized between groups, and masks are required per state law when you’re not actively eating or drinking.
