Sat 12/2 @ 10AM
For Freedoms, a national nonprofit focusing on creating a link between artists and political/social activism, is hosting the latest of its series of events at MOCA Cleveland. The upcoming event will look at the issue of food insecurity.
The day starts at 10am, when you can come down and help volunteers from Hashtag Lunchbag Cleveland pack and distribute lunches to homeless people.
Then at 1pm, there will be a town hall-style discussion, with a panel of local, regional and national leaders who work at improving access to food and creating solutions to food insecurity. For Freedoms founder, artist Eric Gottesman, moderates a panel that includes Ginger Brooks Takahashi, co-founder of the Pennsylvania artist collective General Sisters, and speakers from the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and Rid-All Green Partnership.
It’s free.
