Violinist Jinjoo Cho Closes Wayne Center’s Spring Series

Fri 5/31 @ 7PM

The Wayne Center for the Arts in Wooster debuted its “Wayne Center Presents” series in 2023, and it proved to be a success so they carried on with it this spring.

To close their spring season, the Wayne Center is bringing back an artist from the first series, violinist Jinjoo Cho. She’s well known to local audiences from extensive area performances and her stints on the faculties of the Cleveland Institute of Music and Oberlin Conservatory. She’s won first prize at numerous prestigious competitions (some of which she later juried), and performed extensively across North and South America, Europe and Asia. An active educator as well, she’s the founding artistic director of the Cleveland-based nonprofit ENCORE Chamber Music Institute and currently teaches at Montreal’s McGill University.

She’ll be joined at the Wayne Center by her frequent collaborator pianist Hyunsoo Kim who currently teaches at Oberlin and serves as admissions director at ENCORE as well as leading the piano faculty.
