Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s Low Power Happy Hour events offer a networking opportunity, cocktails and an educational discussion, taking place at the Park’s Happy Days Lodge.
This month the discussion will center on “Building a Community through the Arts” and feature the co-founders of Museum of Creative Human Art (MOCHA), Antwoine Washington and Michael Russell II. They’ll talk about their partnership with the Conservancy for CVNP as its “Arts Organization in Residence” to work to bring the artis in the experience of visiting the park. They were involved in putting together the current exhibit at the Boston Mills Visitor Center called Tender Roots, focusing on the natural world’s healing properties, on view through August 11. It was curated by Thea Spittle and features work by northeast Ohio artists Sequoia Bostwick, Eva Kwong, Avery Mags Duff, Tecia Delores and James Quarles
