Little Italy’s Summer Art Walk Offers a Bonanza of Artists and Makers

Fri 5/31 @ 5PM-9PM

Sat 6/1 @ noon-9PM

Sun 6/2 @ noon-5PM

Cleveland now has numerous arts neighborhoods and art walks, but once upon a time, there was only Little Italy, a conclave of artist studios and galleries co-existing with the long-established Italian eateries and shops, which hosted what’s now Cleveland’s longest-running art walk.

The eateries have proliferated and while the prominence of galleries and artists has shrunk somewhat, they’re still embedded in the now-gentrifying neighborhood: more than 65 will be around during the upcoming summer artwalk including guest artisans from the Cleveland Bazaar at the Murray Hill Schoolhouse and Alchemy Studio Spotlight. Be sure to plan enough time to eat because food is still one of this area’s main attractions and there are so many choices. You’re likely to find a street musician or two on your way to the restaurant.

Since one of the liabilities of this neighborhood is widely perceived to be parking, the organizers assure us there are “more than 10,000 available parking spaces within walking distance of Little Italy,” including at Holy Rosary Church Friday and Saturday from 5-8:30pm
