Becki Silverstein started the Avant-Garde Art & Craft SHows ten years ago to give local artisans an outlet and raise some money for charity as well. They pop up around the area, mostly in outlying suburbs such as Strongsville, Solon and Westlake. (She also does markets in Columbus and Cincinnati)

Last year, they held an outdoor market which she says was so successful, they’re bringing it back this year for the Avon Fall Market at the Emerald Event Center. Expect to find about 30 local handmade artisans and crafters, with unique items to get you started early on your holiday shopping. Admission to the event is free.
