Tremont’s Kaiser Gallery Presents Diverse June Concert Series

The _____ Experiment

It would be a mistake to think of Tremont’s Kaiser Gallery as “just” a gallery. In fact, it’s a hive of activity that extends well beyond looking at the art on the walls and enjoying a craft cocktail from its resident cocktail bar. It’s always got something else going on: drag bingo, poetry open mics, tango classes, art-making workshops.

And this month it’s offering its June concert series, featuring three obscure musical events with artists we’re unfamiliar with but who all sound intriguing. On Friday June 23 there’s psychedelic rockers Dimming Earth. On Sunday June 25 Matt Venuti brings on his immersive musical experience dubbed “The Deep Space Music and Sound Experience.” And on Tuesday June 27, The _____ Experiment (“The Blank Experiment”), whose members hail from around the Midwest as well as Kansas and San Francisco, is a chamber ensemble that includes instruments such as oboe, harp, clarinet and sax, who commission new works for their unusual, flexible mix of instruments.
