North Union Indoor Farmers Markets Open at Crocker Park & Van Aken District

Sat 1/7 @ 9AM-noon

It’ll be a while before northeast Ohio’s wealth of farmer’s markets opens for the summer season. But the two main markets hosted by the North Union Farmers Markets, which pretty much launched the wave of such markets here, move to their indoor seasons starting this week.

The Shaker Square Market moves east to the Van Aken Market Hall at the Van Aken district in Shaker Heights, while the Crocker Park Market moves into a space at 172 Crocker Park Blvd near the Cheesecake Factory.

While you won’t find the abundance of fresh produce offered in season, there’s plenty of locally grown and produced food available, including greenhouse greens, storage crops such as apples, onions, potatoes and carrots, meat, dairy, and value-added products such as syrup, salsa, hot sauce and baked goods.

The two markets take place every Saturday until the last week in March; they go outdoors again the first Saturday in April.
