Trinity Cathedral’s Brown Bag concerts offer free music downtown every week during lunch hour, inviting workers, students and downtown visitors to come sit a while.
The week, Cleveland’s Amethyst String Quartet, led by busy local freelance musician Mary Beth Ions, will be providing music that looks at the classical roots of video game music. They’ll play video game themes by composers such as Nobuo Uematsu and Koji Kondo with composers such as Edward Elgar, Gustav Holst and John Williams so listeners can compare the similarities and differences.
While Trinity has lifted all its audience restrictions, it’s still offering pandemic-friendly streaming of the concert on Facebook and trinitycleveland.org.
