The Maria Neil Art Project in the Waterloo Road district is entering its third year of presenting area artists at all career stages that proprietors Adam Tully and John Farina think are deserving of more notice.
There are a lot of them (and will be many more with the imminent closing of the William Busta Gallery this summer.) So now Tully and Farina have forged a partnership with the Grovewood Tavern several blocks away where they will be mounting shows by such artists.
To kick it off, they’re presenting three artists who use landscapes as a jumping-off point for their distinctive visions: painters Eileen Dorsey and Dawn Tekler and photographer Eric Rippert.
They’ll be having a “Meet the Artists” reception to introduce the works and the artists, accompanied by the Grovewood’s celebrated food and wine.
It’s free.
