The House of Blues’ monthly Kirk Franklin Presents gospel brunch is back with its all-you-can-eat feast of such southern-style goodies as creole chicken jambalaya, chicken and waffles, cornbread muffins and mimosas to wash it down. But what makes this brunch special is the music that accompanies the food.
This month the House of Blues brings back Cleveland gospel/jazz singer/pianist Lafayette Carthon & his group Faith to raise the roof. Carthon, a graduate of Cleveland’s School of the Arts and the Oberlin Conservatory, is a seasoned performer who has toured with various members of the prominent gospel family the Winans. He’s also an educator who works with both children and adults in schools and churches around the area. He knows firsthand how to inspire and uplift.
Tickets are $38, $29 for seniors and $18 for children 6-12.
