Berea ARF — Animal Rescue Friends — is a no-time-limit shelter which began in a local garage in the 80s and most recently, in 2020, moved into an expansive new shelter in Columbia Township. It not only keeps an animal as long as it takes to find an appropriate home, it doesn’t limit the medical care it provides to an animal, as long as the animal will have a good quality of life.

As a nonprofit largely staffed by volunteers, it naturally does a lot of fundraising. One of those is its big annual rummage sale taking place at the Olde Barn Pavilion at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds this Sunday. It features all donated merchandise of all type: jewelry, toys, games, household items, electronics, books, DVDs, sporting equipment, small portable furniture items and more (no clothing however)

Stop down and browse to help care for the adorable cats and dogs waiting for their forever homes. It’s part of the fairgrounds’ weekly flea market, so there’s a $1 entry fee.
