Cleveland Electronic Funk Band Neon Claws Plays at LGBT Center

Fri 7/22 @ 7-8:30PM

Cleveland band Neon Claws describes itself as a “Queer Funk/Tribal/Soul Rock Experience,” and “a seamless blend of electronica and funk with jazz/punk sensibilities.” While fairly obscure, even in their hometown (with less than 200 Facebook followers), their slinky, insinuating sound, layered with scraps of spoken, intoned, chanted and sung vocals, is infectious and well worth checking out.

Where can you do so? At the LGBT Community Center in Gordon Square this Friday, of course. They warn that seats (you’re going to be standing up for THIS music? Probably not!) are limited and might not be available at the door, so grab your ticket now. They’re $15. Go here.
