78th Street Studios’ Third Friday is back with more art, more shopping, more music and more of the familiar faces you love to run into. Most of the businesses, galleries and studios on all four floors are open again, and several galleries will be hosting openings this month. Among them are E11Even2, known for its pop-influenced affordable art, will be opening Spooky Boobs, a group show with a vaguely Halloween-ish theme. At HEDGE Gallery, artist Mark Howard will open his first major local show in eight years. Kenneth Paul Lesko Gallery presents the first night of Scott McIntire’s From Quixotic to Bittersweet, and Gallery 202 will unveil First Person: Exploring Character. Susan Snipes’ Potential Energy will be closing at Suite 215 Gallery.
Neighborhood sandwich shop Local West will be offering food and BARneo will have wine and beer with the proceeds going to Ohio regional art museum ARTneo, located on 78th Street’s Ramp level. Randy Sacks and acoustic guitarist Rick Iacoboni will be playing music at different locations throughout the building.
There’s an admission fee of $5 and masks are required.
